The timing was never right for me and Xenoblade Chronicles. When the original game came out the Wii, I didn’t own one. By the time I did, the game was hard to find and cost way more money than I cared to spend.
Eventually, it was ported to the 3DS but I always had trouble playing longer games on a handheld, much like Persona 4 Golden on the Vita, so I never got more than a couple hours into Xenoblade Chronicles. When it was announced that the game would be getting re-re-released on Switch, I knew it was time to give it a shot.
It’s hard for me not to compare Xenoblade to Persona 5 Royal, which I finished the night before and absolutely loved, but, so far, it’s been good. There’s so much to do, I know I’ll get sucked into doing any side-quests I’m able to find.
